U.S. Dominates Global List for Affordability

The U.S. has the most cities with affordable housing in the world, according to the 13th Annual Demographia International Housing Affordability Survey: 2017. The study measured the affordability in 406 metro markets in nine countries globally (Australia, Canada, China, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, the U.K., and the U.S.) U.S. cities occupied all top 10 slots in the most affordable housing rankings. Here are the cities that topped the worldwide list of least expensive metros to live: #1 Rochester, N.Y. #2: Buffalo, N.Y. #3 (tie): Pittsburgh, Pa. Cleveland, Ohio Cincinnati, Ohio-Kent.-Ind. #6 (tie): St. Louis, Mo. Oklahoma City, Okla. #8 (tie): Kansas City, Mo-Kan. Indianapolis Grand Rapids, Mich. Detroit, Mich. On the other hand, the U.S. also had four cities land in the priciest cities in the world in Demographia International’s top 10 list.
